Hope

She asked me, “How could disillusion manifest hope?”
Whether false or probable, hope is a phenomenon that facilitates us to function within our Uncomfort Zone.

Only in pressing beyond one’s prior conceived limits, does a practitioner get a glimpse of true practice. (It is only within these moments that mastery develops.)
Illusions, such as hope, whether false or truly possibilities, are a driving, positive power. Remaining humble is the only effort required in order to be realistic about your hopes, but still tenacious in making true your dreams. Suffering disillusion after being defeated by unattainable dreams is a natural response.

How a person decides to orchestrate their emotions within such uncomfortable zones decides at which levels they shall survive at. Some move on, others dwell, and the switch in their brain turns off. They know it, accept it and allow it.
Hope is a phenomenon that can “flip the switch” in your brain that, for all these years, you’ve wanted to switch, so that life could “get going” already…. Hope can drive you,

but are your hopes realistic?

Will your hopes ever be as tangible as the act of changing to live your dream?
A blind man who sat in the corner and hoped for the sun to shine through the window felt good inside when he thought about the day he’d feel the sun. He sat there and hoped for years, not knowing that there never was a window in that room.

His hope, though, made him feel warm and happy inside, and increased his life force, his ability to be stronger and more alive.

The illusion that sun could shine through had a positive effect, as it allowed him to practice the art of happiness. If he ever felt disillusioned, if he realized there was no window, therefore no possibility for his one hope to come true, he might then practice the art of unhappiness.

How attached to the hope was he?

Can he just forget about those years of his life and just move on?

If he still clings to that hope because it made him feel good once, but no more, he would be painting a portrait of happiness using the paintbrush of false hope and dismay. Such a strange art to practice. Such a wicked place to make the different colored paints!
