Flying Monkeys or Projection: the Narcissist’s Powerless Way Of Life

“You sent me something Crazy, and it was all in caps-lock!”

When a narcissist says that you did something crazy, however, (in reality,) YOU did something completely normal, they are using a manipulative tool called, “Projection”.

Projection means they are pointing out their own faults but blaming their faults on you. In other words, they are crazy, but telling you that you’re crazy, trying to make it seem like you are the one who’s crazy, when the whole time, it is they who are crazy, not you!

Here is an example:

I worked very hard, so I got a promotion; and the boss awarded me with an apartment.

I sent a video of the apartment to somebody… And when they asked me if I was sharing it with somebody,

(which automatically infers that you cannot afford it yourself…)

My Response Was:

This is where PROJECTION comes in:

Her response was:

“You replied with something crazy, and it was all in caps lock.”

Her calling my reply, “crazy,” is the quintessential example of Projection.

It boarders only “Crazy Making.”

… because my response to her is how a NORMAL person acts.

Her Response to me is how a crazy person acts.

The crazy person attempts to PROJECT their craziness upon those of us who are normal with the intention of tricking us into viewing reality in the OPPOSITE way reality had occurred.
