Eye for Evil

“The ruthless will vanish,
the mockers will disappear,
And all who have an eye for evil will be cut down…”
-ISAIAH 29:20

“As when a hungry person dreams of eating, but awakens hungry still;
as when a thirsty person dreams of drinking,
but awakens fading and thirsty still.
So will it be with the hoarders of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion.”

ISAIAH 29:8

The Poor, The Wealthy, Eyes of the Law

“Love your neighbor as yourself, …”

Poor and Wealthy

“Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?

But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court?

Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong?

If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right.

But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.

For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.”

JAMES 2:5-10

Neighbor’s Wife

“So is he who sleeps with another man’s wife;

no one who touches her will go unpunished.

People do not despise a thief if he steals
to satisfy his hunger when he is starving.

Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold,
though it costs him all the wealth of his house.

But a man who commits adultery has no sense;
whoever does so destroys himself.
Blows and disgrace are his lot,
and his shame will never be wiped away.

For jealousy arouses a husband’s fury,
and he will show no mercy when he takes revenge.

He will not accept any compensation;
he will refuse a bribe, however great it is.”

PROVERBS 6:29-35

A Parable

“But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them.”

Shake with one hand; eat with both.

“He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.

Leave them; they are blind guides.[a] If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”

Peter said, “Explain the parable to us.”

“Are you still so dull?” Jesus asked them. “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body?

But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them.

For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”

Matthew 15:13-20

The Struggle

The True Struggle

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,

but against the rulers, against the authorities,

against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

EPHESIANS 6:12-13

Sew Faith Deeply

The farmer sows the word.

Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown.

As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.

Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy.

But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.”

MARK 4:13-17

David The Conqueror

David Conquers Jerusalem

“The king and his men marched to Jerusalem to attack the Jebusites, who l
ived there. The Jebusites said to David,

“You will not get in here; even the blind and the lame can ward you off.”

They thought, “David cannot get in here.”

Tongue Ring

Langue dans le cul

As the Catholic Church has provenly been regarded as a citadel for pedophilia, the Pope heads that organization; and the majority of the world’s money kisses that ring most closely by way of sticking it’s globe of a head up the Pope’s ass, as so to give that unclean ass the most French of kisses!

Children of God

Spirit does not make us slaves.

“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.

And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”

Charmed Life

“…There is a secret in the simplest things, a wonder in the plainest, a charm in the dullest. …”

The Inspired

“We all vaguely deem it to be so; but he only lives a charmed life, like that of genius and poetic inspiration, who communes with the spiritual scene around him, hears the voice of the spirit in every sound, sees its signs in every passing form of things, and feels its impulse in all action, passion, and being.

Very near to us lies the mines of wisdom; unsuspected they lie all around us. There is a secret In the simplest things, a wonder in the plainest, a charm in the dullest.”

God’s Law In Your Heart

“I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”

Where is God’s Law planted?

“For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:

‘This is the covenant I will make with them after that time,’ says the Lord.

I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.”

Wives Love Your Husbands

“He who loves his wife loves himself.“

Husbands, Love Your Wives.

Book of EPHESIANS, CHAPTER FIVE:

Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.

For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.

Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Quote

“…we may restrain our passions, subdue our hearts to gentleness and patience, …”

“… the Book of Great Account…”

“The million occasions will come to us all, in the ordinary paths of our life, in our homes, and by our firesides, wherein we may act as nobly, as if, all our life long, we led armies, sat in senates, or visited beds of sickness and pain. Varying every hour, the million occasions will come in which we may restrain our passions, subdue our hearts to gentleness and patience, resign our own interest for another’s advantage, speak words of kindness and wisdom, raise the fallen, cheer the fainting and sick in spirit, and soften and assuage the weariness and bitterness of their mortal lot. To every Mason there will be opportunity enough for these. They cannot be written on his tomb; but they will be written deep in the hearts of men, of friends, of children, of kindred all around him, in the book of the great account, and, in their eternal influences, on the great pages of the Universe.”

Comfort is Not Home-Base

Seeking Comfort Shall Find Desire.

“People make their decisions designed on comfort, but God does not work that way.”

“It is no bed of roses to follow Jesus!”

R. Cecil

“… Also we know that all things work together for the best unto them that love God, even to them that are called of his purpose.

For those which he knew before, he also predestinated to be made like to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Moreover, whom he predestinated, them also he called, and whom he called, them also he justified, and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”

Difference Between Fault and Responsibility

‘baby left on your porch,” scenario?” Jupe asked.

“No.” I said.

“Well,” he said,
“it’s the difference
Between Fault and Responsibility!
If somebody left a Baby on your porch, that’s not your fault.
Everything that happens after that
is your Responsibility.”

matthew 6:9-15

“Our Father
Which art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done
on earth
as it is
in Heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass upon us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil;
for thine is the Kingdom
and the power
and the glory
forever and ever.

The Quest

“… Taking nothing with us which does not belong to ourselves, leaving nothing behind us that is of our real selves,…”

“And so the Quest goes on. And the Quest, as it may be, ends in attainment- we know not where and when; so long as we can conceive of our separate existence, the quest goes on- an attainment continued henceforward. And ever shall the study of the ways which have been followed by those who have passed in front be a help on our path.

No Time

“There is no time in nature. There is rhythm in nature, yes. There is motion in nature. But the clock as a measure of motion is a human artifact. The world, as it spins on its axis, doesn’t tick.”

Alan Watts, excerpt from seminar TIME AND THE FUTURE, July, 1967.

Mike Tyson on Fear

“’Cus used to get turned on when I told him that I was afraid and I might be a coward. He loved that. He knew that would feed into my fear base and he worked everything off fear. Cus wanted you to react like a robot so that when he said something, you’d do it on command. Cus showed me the difference between fear and intimidation. Being intimidated prevents you from performing at the highest level you’re capable of. But fear can help you ascend to great heights. ‘Be afraid of your opponent personally but don’t be afraid to hurt him,’ he told me. What people don’t realize is that when controlled properly fear can take you to a level of euphoria where you believe you’re invincible. Very few people can get to that level. But when you do, a weird aberration of nature takes place and you’re sent to a level of invincible proportion.’”

Eye Gathered Countries

“… ‘By the strength of my hand I have done this,
and by my wisdom, because I have understanding.
I removed the boundaries of nations,
I plundered their treasures;
like a mighty one I subdued their kings.
As one reaches into a nest,
so my hand reached for the wealth of the nations;
as people gather abandoned eggs,
so I gathered all the countries;
not one flapped a wing,
or opened its mouth to chirp.’”
Does the ax raise itself above the person who swings it,
or the saw boast against the one who uses it?
As if a rod were to wield the person who lifts it up,
or a club brandish the one who is not wood!’ …”

Happiness of the Fool

When you think an option is there, optimism may cloud your judgement. When you realize
that the option was never there,
you see how happiness made you a fool!

What is important to a fool
could be important to a sage.
What is happening right now
has nothing to do with time.

Clothe Yourself Thusly

“since as members of one body
you were called to peace. “

“…clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Bear with each other and forgive one another
if any of you has a grievance against someone.
Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love,
which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,
since as members of one body
you were called to peace.
And be thankful.
Let the message of Christ
dwell among you richly
as you teach and admonish one another
with all wisdom
through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit,
singing to God with gratitude in your hearts…”

COLLOSIANS 3:12-17

Defining God

“mathematically speaking, is why God is more like a line than a point.”

“Nicolaus proposed thinking of God in an image more than like the line which is by definition unbounded,
impossible to hem-in or to possess.

Instead of thinking of God in constrained images equivalent to mathematical symbols of the sphere or the triangle…”
he suggested viewing God as a line.

Constantine’s Sword page 349

“Theologians spoke of God as they understood God fully, and they sought to enforce a uniformity of thought that left no room for mystery, ambiguity or paradox. Nicolaus of Cusa saw, on the contrary, that God is God precisely in escaping and transcending total comprehension by human beings. Just as a line is defined by its movement in opposite directions at once, so God is the coincidence of opposites, the one in whom maximum and minimum fall together. In God, the coincidence occurs in such a way that the contraries maintain their differences, which, mathematically speaking, is why God is more like a line than a point.”

The Sword of Constantine page 350

Darwin Says

” all observation
must be for or against some view
if it is to be of any service.”

“There was much talk that geologists ought only observe
and not theorize;
and I will remember someone saying
that at this rate,
a man might as well go into a gravel-pit
and count the pebbles and
describe the colors.

How odd it is
that anyone should not see
that all observation
must be for or against some view
if it is to be of any service.”

Charles Darwin 1861

Defining God

“Woe to him who makes God to be unto like any mode or attribute…
Woe more if he make Him like unto sons of man,
whose elements are earthly, and so are consumed and perish!
There can be no conception attained of Him (God) except in so far as He manifests Himself when exercising dominion by and through some attribute.”

Arthur Edward Waite (pages 35-36)

Missing Provision

in the constitution,

“If a majority are capable of preferring
their own private interest,
or of their families,
counties and party to that of a nation
collectively,
some provision must be made in the constitution,
in favor of justice,
to compel all to respect
the common right,
the public good,
the universal law
in preference to all private
and partial considerations.”

John Adams

How America Has Changed

“The fundamental maxims of her policy would insensibly change from liberty to force. “

“America goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy.
She is a well-wisher of freedom and independence of all.
She is the champion and vindicator of only her own.
She will commend the general cause by the countenance of her voice,
and the benign sympathy of her example.
She well knows that by once enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence; should would involve herself beyond the powers of extrication, in all wars of interest and intrigue, of envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standard of freedom.

The fundamental maxims of her policy would insensibly change from liberty to force. She might become a dictatress of the world. We would no longer be the ruler of her own spirit.”

John Quincy Adams, July, 1821

“Democracy in America”

“A majority taken collectively is not an individual whose opinions and frequently, whos interests are opposed to those of another individual who is styled a minority.
If it be admitted that a man possessing absolute power may misuse that power by wronging his adversaries, why should not the majority he held liable to the same reproach?
Men do not change their characters by uniting with each other; nor does their patience in the presence of obstacles increase with their strength.
For my own part, I cannot believe it, the power to do everything which I should refuse to my equals, I will never grant to any number of them?

Alexis de Tocqueville, 1832

Rifleman’s Creed

“We are the masters of our enemy.”

This is my rifle.
There are many like it,
but this one is mine.
It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life.
Without me my rifle is useless.
Without my rifle, I am useless.
I must fire my rifle true.
I must shoot straighter than the enemy
who is trying to kill me.
I must shoot him before he shoots me.

I will.

My rifle and I know that what counts in war
is not the rounds we fire,
the noise of our burst,
or the smoke we make.
We know that it is the hits that count.

We will hit.

      My rifle is human,
even as I am human,
because it is my life.
Thus, I will learn it as a brother.
 I will learn its weaknesses,
its strengths,
its parts,
its accessories,
its sights and its barrel.
I will keep my rifle clean and ready,
even as I am clean and ready.
We will become part of each other.
Before God I swear this creed.
My rifle and I are the defenders of my country.

We are the masters of our enemy.

We are the saviors of my life.

      So be it,

until victory is America’s
and there is no enemy.
